Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested 18-year-old Pelumi Oloyide, who allegedly drugged and raped a 15-year-old girl (name withheld) in a hotel at Jakande Estate in Ejigbo area of the state.

Oloyide, a resident of Uriel Adegbenro Street, Egan area of Igando, Lagos, was said to have gone to the victim’s house at Ilepo area of Ejigbo to install a prepaid meter.

The alleged rapist then took advantage of the situation to lure the survivor to a hotel, spiked her drink, then perpetrated his criminal act.

The matter was, however, reported at the Ejigbo Division and the suspect was nabbed at Igando area of the state.

According to the police, the suspect admitted that he drugged and raped the victim but claimed he was high on hard drugs.
