A 21-year-old man, Isaac Adet, has reportedly cut open his stomach with a knife in an attempt to commit suicide in Ojo area of Lagos State on Monday June 1 this year.
The incident, which happened at 1 Church Street Ilufe Community Ojo Lagos, was said to have occurred at 12am of June 1. The young man was said to have cut his stomach open and his intestines popped out.
The CDA Chairman for Ilufe Community Ojo, Mr. Okey Ezike, reported the unfortunate incident on Tuesday June 2 this year at the Ojo Police station.
Justifying his action, Adet, who is currently being treated at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), said boldly that god called him so that others could learn from his action.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bala Elkana, investigation is currently on. “Further development will be communicated”.
