The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has presented the new Oniru, Oba Gbolahan Lawal, with the staff of office as the 15th of Iru Kingdom.
The governor handed over the staff of office to him on Sunday, June 7 this year, where he enjoined the new monarch to use his office to sustain the tranquility and harmony in the land.
Sanwo-Olu said: “There is no doubt that the future of Iru Kingdom continues to be bright and promising.”
Continuing, the governor said, “The ascension today of His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdul-Wasiu Omogbolahan Lawal, Abisogun II, marks the start of the next phase of the journey into that future.”
