COVID-19: Lagos records 142 of 490 new cases, as infections exceed 17,000 in the country

Lagos State has recorded one hundred and forty-two (142) out of four hundred and ninety (490) new cases of Coronavirus in the country.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this disclosure through its official twitter handle on Tuesday night.

It stated that the total number of infections in Nigeria is now 17,148 with 5,623 persons discharged and 455 deaths respectively.

On the 17th of June 2020, 409 new confirmed infections and 31 deaths were recorded in the country.

The 409 new cases were reported from 15 states and the FCT, with Lagos State leading with the highest number of infections for the day with 142 cases.
