Operatives of the Lagos State police have arrested 26 years old Chinedu Obi for allegedly having sexual intercourse with his boss’s 12 years old twin daughters (names withheld) in Aguda area of the state.

Chinedu, who was a salesman working for the mother of the twins, was said to have been sexually abusing the twins since last year.

But on June 16 this year at 2:55pm, the mother of the twins reported at Aguda police station that Chinedu had sexual intercourse with her twins when she left the two girls with him in her house.

The state police spokesman, DSP Bala Elkana, disclosed that upon arrest, the suspect confessed to the crime. “He said he started having sexual intercourse with the girls in 2019”.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu, has ordered that the case be transferred to Gender Unit, State Headquarters, Ikeja for discreet investigation and diligent prosecution.

The CP, however, advised parents not to trust anyone with their kids, especially female children.

He further reaffirmed the commitment of the command to continually apprehend sexual offenders wherever they are in the state and make them face the full weight of the law.

Odumosu added, “Together we can stop rape and all forms of sexual violence.”

In a related development, on June 26 this year at 7:30pm, the state police nabbed 33 years old Chibuike Kalu for defiling his 14 years old daughter (names withheld) in Bariga area of the state.

Elkana noted that the survivor has been taken to Mirabel Centre Ikeja for medical treatment and forensic examination.

While the suspect was arrested after confessing to the commission his crime, Elkana assured the public that he would be charged to court.
