…Warns of limited returning possibilities for those leaving Nigeria
The Nigeria Civil Aviation has postponed the resumption of international flights to Thursday October 15 this year against its previously announced date of August 19.
This was divulged in an email shared exclusively to airmen in the industry, where it advised all to treat the notice with importance, saying that commercial opening before September, which would mean only essential flights, and Diplomats, would be allowed also in August to Nigeria but with more restricted conditions.
Until today, the requests for essential flights from and to France in August have not yet been approved by Nigerian authorities “tentative continuation of July essential operations with one weekly, Lagos on Thursdays, and one weekly, Abuja on Sundays”.
The ministry noted that possibilities to return essential workers to Lagos or Abuja from this week henceforth will be limited or stopped. It neither assured essential workers leaving Nigeria of their return at their expected date.
It further cautioned those still in Nigeria to prepay before departure and get evidence of payment of a PCR COVID test done in an accredited lab immediately upon their return.
It emphasised, however, that anyone leaving Nigeria should be meticulous as returning possibilities might be extremely limited or for some time.Follow us on social media
