On Wednesday, the commissioner tweeted that the bed occupancy had increased to 61 per cent, adding that 191 patients were currently in isolation, while 7,788 patients were receiving home-based care.

He said, “Bed occupancy at COVID-19 Lagos care centres is about 61 per cent; IDH II isolation centre is almost getting filled up with 87 per cent occupancy; Paelon isolation centres is 100 per cent filled up; Ido isolation centre has been reactivated to create more bed spaces for severe to critical cases of COVID-19.”

Abayomi listed the other eight care centres to include: Infectious Disease Hospital, 1 and 2, Yaba, Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Armour, Paelon, Vedic, Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, and the Federal Medical Centre, Ebute Metta.
