The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, gave deadlines for political parties to conclude their primaries and 17 of the 18 registered political parties have produced their presidential candidates.
As at today, Friday, June 10, one party, Action Peoples Party, APP, is yet to produce its candidate.
Parties that have produced their standard bearers include the ruling All progressives Congress, APC; main opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP; Labour Party, LP; and the New Nigerian Peoples Party, NNPP.

- National Rescue Movement (NRM): Okwudili Nwa-Anyajike

- Peoples Redemption Party (PRP): Kola Abiola
