A group operating as Osinbajo South West Group (OSWG) in South western states has appealed to President Muhammed Buhari, as well as the leadership of All Progressive Congress (APC) to endorse Vice President Yemi Osinbajo as competent successor of his principal come year 2023.
They also appealed to members of the National Assembly caucus of APC to adopt Osinbajo, whom they described as “loyal and true Apostle of good governance” that can complete President Buhari’s unfulfilled dreams.
Addressing journalists in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, OSWG coordinator, Oyewale Olumuyiwa said his group has painstakingly assessed all politicians aspiring to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari and came to the conclusion that the Vice President is the, “long-awaited messiah to pilot the affairs of this nation to an Eldorado”.
OSWG, which he said consisted of representatives from the academic, civil society groups, professional and religious bodies, youths, as well as women organisations from the six South Western states premised its call for Osinbajo’s presidency on the ground that the vice president remained was already familiar with programmes and policies.
