Three operatives of the Lagos State Police who participated in the September 19 Edo Gubernatorial elections have reportedly died in an auto crash on their way back to Lagos.
According to reports, the fatal accident occurred on the Benin-Ore Expressway in Ondo State while the three victims (officers) alongside some colleagues were heading to Lagos.
One of the victims was Corporal Oluwafemi Adeyanju, an indigene of Ondo State and the other two were inspectors.
The other occupants and officers were said to have sustained varying degrees of injury from the crash.
The family of Adeyanju, according to findings, have claimed their son’s remains which was deposited at the morgue at Ore road.
At the time of filing in the report, efforts to get the reaction of the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Olumuyiwa Adejobi proved abortive.
