Former Super Eagles Captain, Legend and Coach, Augustine Eguavoen has been appointed as the Technical Director of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF). The appointment came in yesterday with immediate effect.
Other appointments which came along with Eguavoen include the former Flying Eagles coach, Paul Aigbogun who was appointed as Deputy Director of Technical and Scouting as ex-Super Eagles midfielder Garba Lawal was appointed the Chief Technical Officer of the Federation.
The NFF had an executive committee meeting virtually on Tuesday and the appointments were approved during the meeting. The appointments are with immediate effect. The appointments were announced on the 20th of October 2020.
Eguavoen coached the Super Eagles during the 2006 AFCON in Egypt. The country’s senior national team came third during the African Cup of Nations. During the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, he was Assistant Coach to the Super Eagle’s Coach Lars Lagerback.
