After some thugs were alleged to have hijacked the peaceful #EndSARS protest in Lagos State, there was unrest, maiming, hysteria and killings which resulted in the vicious murder of six police officers and four civilians.
The murdered officers are: ASP Yard Edward attached to Denton Station; Insp Olayinka Erinfolami attached to the defunct Anti Kidnapping Unit; Insp Adegbenro Aderibigbe attached to Meiran Division; Sergeant Abejide Abiodun attached to DOPS SHQ, and two others attached to Orile Division.
According to the State Police Commissioner, Hakeem Odumosu, 38 policemen from various formations and locations within the state were injured.
