Operatives of the Lagos Police have arrested 32 years old Joy Asoya for stabbing her 34 years old neighbour, Favour Tochukwu, in Bariga area of the state.
The women were said to have had a minor disagreement at their residence at Alhaji Alimi Street, Bariga on Saturday May 30 this year. And the alleged culprit, Joy, then stabbed Favour in two places in her back with a kitchen knife.
The Police Spokesman, DSP Bala Elkana, who confirmed the incident, said the victim was rushed to the Lagos Island Hospital for treatment.
Elkana recalled that the Bariga Police State received a distress call on Saturday May 30 this year at 8:15pm of the assault and the victim, who was stabbed in two places in her back with a kitchen knife over a minor disagreement.
“The suspect was arrested and she confessed to the crime. The knife was recovered by detectives. Investigation is ongoing. The suspect will be charged upon the conclusion of investigation,” the PRO said.
