An identified man was knocked down to death today, by a car along the Aspanda road, Badagry expressway, in Lagos.
The driver was said to have run over the man before colliding with another commercial bus which had stopped nearby to pick passengers.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) said it responded to the incident after distress calls were received via the emergency help lines.
According to its DG/CEO, Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, the pedestrian lost his life on impact while the drivers of both vehicles appear to be unhurt.
While noting that relatives to the deceased have claimed the corpse, the DG said combined efforts of the Agency, LSNC and the Nigeria Police, Itire Division are ongoing to secure the scenes and recover the vehicles from the road.
