An intriguing story of the realities of marriage and relationships, Nollywood’s much anticipated movie “The Therapist” questions the abnormalies of the age-long concept. Set-in modern-day Nigeria, the plot tells a story of the lead character, Eloho Odafe who loses everything in a divorce to her abusive ex-husband after 11 years of marriage because of a prenup that was signed in the whims of love and affection.

Genesis Pictures, an affiliate company to Genesis Deluxe Cinemas Limited and a member of Genesis Group is the sole distributor of “The Therapist” movie.

Budding film maker, Esse Odometa who doubles as the producer of the movie, made a cameo appearance in the movie.

Kayode is a passionate Director and Cinematographer. He has created and directed music videos, TV series, and shot campaigns for brands like Forbes, Ndani TV, DHL Shipping, Manchester United, Best Ever Food Review Show (BEFRS), Belvedere Vodka, ARM Pensions Managers (PFA) Ltd., ART X Lagos, Union Bank Nigeria, African Cable Television (ACTV), and Clover Industries Tanzania.
Notably one of the most sought-after directors in the Nigerian movie industry, Kayode Kasum lent his directorial expertise to the making of “The Therapist”. His films have been screened in various festivals around the world, and he has received several awards for his work, including Canada, France, Serbia, Kenya, Italy, United Kingdom and Nigeria.
6. THE BOX OFFICE RELEASE IS SLATED FOR 26th MARCH 2021
The Therapist will be released on 26th March 2021 across all cinemas nationwide and it stars Dominic alongside, Chidi Mokeme, Anthony Monjaro, Michelle Dede, Saheed Balogun, Tope Tedela, Shaffy Bello, Toyin Abraham amongst others.
