Police operatives in Lagos have arrested Nollywood actor, Olarenwaju James, also known as, Baba Ijesha, 48, for allegedly defiling a 14-year-old.
According to the State PPRO, CSP Muyiwa Adejobi, in a media release, the alleged defilement was reported on April 19 this year by Princess Adekola Adekanya at Sabo Police Station.
It was later transferred to the Gender Unit of the State CID, Panti, Yaba Lagos for proper investigation.
“Based on preliminary findings, the suspect started sexually assaulting the survivor, 14 years, since she was age seven.
“The suspect confessed to the crime and was also captured by a CCTV camera in the house of the complainant,” he added.
Meanwhile, the State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, has ordered for proper investigation, as he promised to do justice in the matter.
