One hundred and three Nigerians have arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos at about 2pm today. The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) confirmed their arrival into the country after being stranded in India.
Similarly, another 166 Nigerians landed at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja about the same time, making a total of 269 Nigerians who made their way into the country from India.
The commission announced their arrival on its Twitter handle earlier today adding that they were simultaneously received at the Lagos and Abuja airports.
“103 in Lagos and 166 in Abuja passengers arrived today, Saturday, June 13, at about 2:00 a.m, after a few hours of delay.”
The commission stressed that all evacuees have been put on compulsory 14 days self Isolation to curb the pandemic.
