The Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has highlighted the benefits associated with investing in the Lagos Free Trade Zone.
Sanwo-Olu, who addressed investors and exhibitionists at the Lekki Peninsula Regional Conference and Expo 2021 on Wednesday, highlighted the commercial, industrial, and investment opportunities as well as government incentives in the Lekki axis.
He was represented by the Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives, Dr Lola Akande, at the event.
He said, “There are facilities and preferential policies to prospective investors in the Lekki free zone, which include permission to sell 100 per cent of manufactured, assembled or imported goods into the domestic Nigerian market, 100 per cent foreign ownership of investments, 100 per cent repatriation of capital, profits and dividends; waiver on all imports and exports and exports licences; waiver on all expatriate quotas for companies operating in the Lekki free zones.
“I must commend the organisers of this expo for the efforts they have put in to stage this conference to optimise and showcase investment opportunities in this part of the state.
“I have no doubt in my mind that you will find this maiden edition of the exhibition a unique forum for knowledge sharing and rewarding platform for would-be investors to leverage on the opportunities available in this axis in line with the theme.”
