Sanwo-Olu Commiserates With Oniru Over Mother’s Death

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has commiserated with Oniru of Iruland, Oba Abdulwasiu Omogbolahan Lawal and Chief Whip of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Mojisola Miranda on the death of their mother, Alhaja Muinat Abeni Lawal-Akapo.

Alhaja Lawal-Akapo, died in the early hours of Wednesday at her residence in Lagos at age 85.

Governor Sanwo-Olu in a statement issued yesterday by his chief press secretary, Mr Gboyega Akosile, urged the deceased family, friends, associates and traditional institutions to accept her death as the will of God and be thankful for a good life lived by the late matriarch of the Akapo family.

“I sympathise with the Oniru of Iruland, His Royal Majesty AbdulwasiuOmogbolahan Lawal; his sister, Hon. Mojisola Miranda, who is representing Apapa Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly over the death of their mother.

“I also commiserate with the family of the deceased and the people of Iruland who will sorely miss the elderly and wise counsel of the late nonagenarian,” the statement read.
