In what seems to be an image laundering strategy for the 2023 Presidency bid of the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, vehicles displaying the image of the CBN Governor and his aspiration has been seen on social media.
Pictures of several vehicles branded for his 2023 presidential ambition has suddenly emerged on the internet.
A dozen of such branded vehicles was posted on the twitter account of Punch newspaper, @mobilepunch.
This gesture may just add to the credence of lobbyists positioning Emefiele for the 2023 presidency under the Alliance People’s Congress, APC Party, even when the CBN Governor has denied the presidential ambition.
Emefiele had made a statement during the week that he was committed to the present administration and helping it to finish well and not nursing a political ambition.
Reactions have already surfaced online with one Stephen brown saying, “This is serious oo, imagine 😳 if he eventually mount as a president Nigeria problem will continue, cos his part of it already 🙄
“know say na APC man, he have been doing well, maybe they want to compensate him for job well done.”
Shamaki Timamtanung posted, “Some people don’t have shame again. If not because Buhari has reduced the standard for contesting for presidency, someone like Godwin Emefiele supposed not to talk about becoming the next president of Nigeria. Under his watch as the CBN governor, our currency became valueless.”
