After accessing the extent of COVID-19 spread in Nigeria, the Federal Government has lifted the ban on interstate movement as it reopens schools across the country.
The chairman of the presidential task force on COVID-19, Boss Mustapha during the daily briefing said that President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the extension of the phased lockdown for four weeks.
“Schools all over Nigeria have been shut down since March in a bid to contain the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19),” he noted.
Schools reopening, he said, would be for exiting students in secondary schools across the country.
Mustapha added that critical and revision classes for JSS 3 and SS 3 students would resume to prepare their existing examinations
