Eko DisCo unveils new Payment Platform to increase Efficiency

In a bid to increase its efficiency in delivering its services to its customers, Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) has partnered IRecharge Tech-Innovations to unveil a new payment platform, IRecharge.

Speaking at the unveiling of the platform in Lagos, the Managing Director, EKEDC, Dr Tinuade Sanda, said the platform would make payment of electricity bills by customers seamless, convenient and safe.

The Managing Director, EKEDC, Dr Tinuade Sanda, made the announcement while speaking at the company’s headquarters on recently in Lagos.

Sanda said the payment solution was done in collaboration with IRecharge Tech-Innovations.

She said, “When I came on board as the MD/CEO of Eko DisCo, i initiated the ‘Mission Possible’ drive which simply indicates accomplishing the things that may appear impossible to make our company greater and maintain leadership status in the Nigerian power industry.

“Furthermore, as deeply ingrained in our mission statement, we seek to improve the quality of life for all our customers by utilising cutting-edge technology and innovative processes to supply electricity sustainability, reliably, and safely. As a result, what is happening here today is a testament to that notion.”

The Managing Director, IRecharge Tech-Innovations, Mr Tomi Araromi, said the launch was to engage EKEDC customers about the new payment solution and how effective and efficient it is.

He explained that payment of electricity bills could be made with just one bank transfer to these account numbers. The new payment solution provides and pairs a unique NUBAN number to every prepaid meter number and postpaid account number.
