A 44-year-old man, Sodipo Oladipupo, was arraigned before the Yaba Magistrate’s court, Lagos, on Tuesday, on a count of stealing.
Oladipupo was accused of stealing the sum of N7m belonging to a construction company.
The charge read, “That You Sodipo Oladipupo Dele, M, sometime between October 2021 and March 2022 in Lagos within the jurisdiction of this court did steal the sum of 7m property of Inherent Construction and Interior.”
The Prosecutor, H. Obiazi, said the offence was punishable under Section 287(S) of the criminal law of Lagos state, 2015.
Oladipupo pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun granted the defendant bail in the sum of N2m and adjourned the matter till October 5 for mention.
