Indeed, a golden fish gas no hiding place. This sums up the amiable, astute and well accomplished gentleman, Ajibola Akindele who is among the distinguished Nigerians to be honoured with a national honour of Member of Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) by President Muhammad Buhari.
Ajibola Akindele is among the hundreds of distinguished Nigerians, five foreigners and the few from the business sector selected to be honoured with MFR.
The Director General of the World Trade Organisation, and two-time Minister of Finance, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, Amina Jane Mohammed, are among recipients (GCON) of the 2022 Nigeria national honours.
The honour indeed befits Ajibola Akindele, a professional that has accomplished much, who will be decorated on Monday, October 10, 2022 by the Presidency.
Engineer Akindele was almost three years ago appointed the General Manager Process Automation, Sub-Saharan Africa, of Global leader in energy management and automation, Schneider Electric Nigeria Limited.
Before then, Akindele who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Lagos and a Master’s in Business Administration from the Vanderbilt University was the Managing Director, Process Automation, Schneider Electric West Africa.
Akindele who is a native of Ondo town has over 20 years wealth of experience in the Oil & Gas and Power sectors. He has actively been involved in numerous Oil & Gas and Power projects across West Africa over the past 10 years.
The national honour list contain individuals from different works of life like politicians, public officers, security officers, businessmen, monarchs, and religious leaders among others- five recipients for the honour of GCON, CFR 54, CON 67, OFR 64, OON 101, MFR 75, MON 56, and FRM 8.
