Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Rico Swavey, is dead.

The housemate was said to have had a ghastly accident on Tuesday and doctors had battled to save his life in the last 48 hours.

His colleagues and ex-housemates had initiated a campaign to raise funds for his treatment as he battled to survive.

A photo of Rico Swavey in the hospital was posted online yesterday by friends and well-wishers pleading for funds and prayers to save his life

He had sustained serious injuries as a result of a road accident in the Lekki/ Ajah area.

Former colleague and housemate, Tobi Bakare broke the news on Twitter with a picture of him and Rico Swavey saying that he will be missed.

Rico Swavey was part of the 2018 Big Brother Naija housemates.
