Yabatech New Rector gets Letter of Appointment

Dr. Abdul Adedotun Ibraheem on Monday, May 22, received his letter of appointment as the substantive Rector of Yaba College of Technology, YABATECH, Lagos.

The official presentation was done by the Hon. Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, at his office in Abuja, with the approval of President Muhammadu Buhari.

It was gathered that the Chairman, Council of the College, Barrister Lateef Fagbemi (SAN) took time away from the election tribunal to be part of the historical occasion.

The new rector will be taking over from Dr. Uduak Inyang-Udoh, who was appointed in January 30, 2023 as acting Rector of the college, after the expiration of the tenure of the immediate former Rector, Engr. Obafemi Owoseni Omokungbe on January 29, 2023.

Until his appointment, Dr. Ibraheem was the Director, Centre for Open Distance and Flexible e-Learning, Yabatech. He joined the College in 1993 as lecturer II and rose to be Chief Lecturer.

Born in Lagos in 1965, Dr. Ibraheem holds a Bachelor and Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Lagos.

He bagged another Master of Science in Industrial & Production Engineering from University of Ibadan. He proceeded to Okayama University, Japan for his Doctor of Philosophy (Engineering) between 2008 and 2011.
