The Chairman of Ifelodu LCDA, Shuaib Fatai Ajidagba, has distributed thousands of face masks to residents to Ifelodun among the 1.5m dwellers to help cushion the spread of COVID-19 pandemic and uphold the directives of both the state and federal governments.
Speaking at the exercise, the council boss said that the second phase distribution of face masks became imperative taking into cognisance the fact that Ifelodun is densely populated with over 1.5 million inhabitants and 16 major markets.
According to him, the recent partial lifting of the lockdown which increases the risk of the spread of the virus necessitated the distribution.
The branded face masks were distributed to all the groups, associations and inhabitants of Ifelodun respresentatives.
