…as NFF eyes $1,870,000
If the Super Falcons players reach the Round of 16 at the ongoing 2023 Women’s World Cup, they will earn $60,000 match bonus.
Randy Waldrum’s side needs a point from their last group game against debutants, Republic of Ireland, on Monday (today) to confirm their place in the knockout round.
Each member of the 23-woman squad is already guaranteed $30,000 for participating in the group stage.
A place in the Round of 16 will see each player earn another $30,000, totaling $60,000.
The Nigerian Football Federation is also not left out of the largesse, as the body, who already pocketed $1,560,000 for the Falcons participation in the competition, will earn another $310,000, totalling $1,870,000 should the team earn a favorable result against the Irish and progress to the knockout stage.
