Desmond Elliot, a member of the Lagos state House of Assembly held an empowerment program on Sunday for 700 widows in Surulere Constituency 1 and also provided gifts such as two lagride cars and food items to the people.
In his X account, he said, “Yesterday marked an eventful day in Surulere Constituency 1 as I initiated an empowerment program, providing Lagride Cars as gifts and support for 700 widows.
“Seven hundred widows residing in the Surulere area of Lagos were empowered on Sunday. Additionally, ‘Lagride’ cars were given to two other beneficiaries, and indigent school children received scholarships and educational grants.”
