The Lagos State Police on enforcement of ban on interstates non essential travel during curfew hours intercepted 10 luxurious buses and arrested the 150 passengers traveling at 11p.m.
The drivers and passengers, traveling out of the state to the Northern and Eastern regions of the country, were arrested on Saturday July 18 at 11p.m. They were arraigned in the Lagos State Special Offenses (Mobile) Court.
The State Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu in a statement the PPRO, SP Bala Elkana issued Monday, warned commercial vehicle operators and motor parks against violating interstates movement restriction orders during the curfew hours.
He adds, “Passengers are also, warned, against non-essential interstates’ travels during the curfew hours.”
