There are four new Compressed Natural Gas stations in Lagos which will be inaugurated in May, says the Managing Director of NIPCO Gas Limited, Nagendra Verma.
Verma who was addressing journalists, said NIPCO was committed to supporting the initiative of the Federal Government for CNG to be an alternative source of fuel.
He said: “The completion of these CNG stations in Lagos marks a significant milestone, offering motorists an alternative to petrol amidst long queues at filling stations.
“The facilities would be opened for commercial operations within April and May to become the first of its kind in the state, which is now contending with long queues at filling stations.”
The NIPCO boss said he believed that people would go for the AutoCNG, with government support and media advocacy.
