The Africa Tech Summit has announced its first-ever Africa Tech Summit Awards, an initiative set to recognize the continent’s most pioneering tech companies, visionary leaders, and transformative solutions. Winners will be revealed on February 12, 2025, at the Africa Tech Summit Nairobi, where top innovators, entrepreneurs, and investors will converge to explore and expand Africa’s digital future.

The awards feature diverse categories reflecting the continent’s rapidly growing tech landscape. Honoring emerging talent and women leaders in tech, categories include the Fintech Award, Cross Border Payments Award, AI Award, Agritech Award, Climate Tech Award, Female Tech Innovator Award, and Young Tech Innovator Award.

Applications are open to startups, scaleups, and established firms, with entries due by December 5, 2024. An independent panel of industry experts will evaluate and select the winners.

“We’re thrilled to launch the Africa Tech Summit Awards to highlight the exceptional innovation shaping Africa’s tech scene,” said Lauren Adair, director of Africa Tech Summit. “These awards will celebrate those driving the continent’s tech future. We eagerly await the entries and look forward to honoring the finalists and winners at the summit in Nairobi.”

This inaugural awards platform aims to showcase Africa’s thriving tech ecosystem and inspire continued growth and impact across the sector.
