The Lagos State Government has confirmed it will implement a partial road closure along the Adeniji Adele Interchange Junction leading to CMS for a period of six weeks to facilitate rehabilitation works being undertaken by the Federal Government.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the state’s Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, disclosed that the repair operations are scheduled to commence on Sunday, October 12, and will continue until Sunday, November 23, 2025. The works will be conducted daily from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The commissioner clarified that the closure will affect only one lane of the thoroughfare, with other lanes remaining accessible to vehicular traffic in order to limit disruption to commuters and road users.
Osiyemi provided assurance that traffic management personnel would be deployed throughout the affected corridor to facilitate smooth traffic flow and mitigate potential inconveniences during the rehabilitation exercise.
“We appeal to motorists for their patience and understanding, as this lane diversion forms an integral component of the traffic management strategy for the road rehabilitation project being executed by the Federal Ministry of Works,” the commissioner stated.
He further called on drivers to observe all instructions issued by traffic control officers positioned along the route, emphasizing that compliance would be essential to maintaining safety and ensuring efficient traffic movement throughout the duration of the repair works.
