117 Nigerians stranded in three East African countries following the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown have on Sunday arrived at the International Wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos at 3a.m.
According to the airline on Twitter, the Nigerian evacuees are from Rwanda, Uganda, and Tanzania. They returned to the country by the Nigerian airline, Azman Air.
“A total of 117 Passengers evacuated from three African Countries, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda by AzmanAir safely arrived at International Wing of MMA Lagos 2nd August 2020 around 03a.m.”
The airline adds, “We wish all the Passengers a Wonderful Stay in Nigeria.”
In line with the protocol of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on Covid-19, the returnees are expected to self-isolate for 14 days.
They are also expected to take another Covid-19 test before rejoining the society.
