A tanker laden with 45,000 Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) has on Saturday fallen on Anthony road inward Gbagada, and spilled its contents.

The incident, which reportedly occurred at 6a.m. this morning, involved a tanker with an unknown registration number which lost control and fell sideways, thereby spilling its contents on the road.

According to the DG/CEO, the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA)
Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, who confirmed the incident, said no life was lost.

His words, “There was no loss of life or injury sustained at the scene. LRU Fire, Police and LASG Fire Service have cordoned off and blanketed the area to prevent any secondary incident.”

The DG further noted that while awaiting the arrival of an empty tanker for transloading, recovery operation is ongoing.
