The families of Adekeye are currently groaning in pain and calling for financial help for their eight years old daughter, Oluwaferanmi Adekeye, who has been suffering from stroke in the last one year Adeniji Adele, Lagos Island area of Lagos.
According to the mother of the child, Mrs. Adekeye, they woke her up around 12a.m to use the restroom last June.
“When we woke her she started crying. We thought that she didn’t want to go to the loo,” she explained.
Suddenly, Oluwaferanmi fell to the floor. “We carry her to the porti because she could not stand by herself again”.
Sadly for the family, since that night of June 2020 till date the child has not walked again.
Mrs. Adekeye decried, “We went to Mercy ospital and they give us paper to go and do x-ray. After that, we went to do another test at Idi-Araba.
After all the medical tests, the distraught mother said the doctor then referred them to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) to go and do exchange of blood. “We used all the medicine that they wrote for us”.
She, however, recalled that before her daughter had stroke, she seldom complained to the doctor that Oluwaferanmi was not walking very well.
“They prescribed some medicine to buy for her. We have spent N250,000 already, I want to go for herbal that she has spent lots of money at hospitals,” she said.
