The Lagos State Public Works Corporation has conducted a routine health check for all its project and ad-hoc staff to foster optimum productivity.
Speaking during the exercise held at the recently refurbished Staff Clinic of the Corporation, Engr. Olufemi Daramola, represented by the Director, Procurement, Mr. Toyin Lawal, said the screening test is a demonstration of the management’s commitment to the wellbeing of the entire workforce of the corporation irrespective of their cadre.
On his part, the Secretary, LSPWC, Mr. Lateef Bolarinwa harped on the importance of the exercise, noting that the staff should take it with every sense of seriousness because the corporation has invested a lot in it.
Responding on behalf of the over 350 Ad-Hoc staff who turned up for the screening, the trio of Mr. Isaac Adebayo from Imota Asphalt plant, Mrs. Hajijat Kamoru and Mr. Joseph Olusanya from Badagry Asphalt plant expressed appreciation to the corporation’s management and the state government for the health test.
They described the exercise as a clear manifestation of the fact that the corporation truly cared for them.
In turn, the Ad-Hoc staff pledged to improve dedication to their duty of ensuring a pothole-free Lagos.
