42 years old alleged serial paedophile, Abdulramon Amure, has been transferred to the Gender Unit Police Command Ikeja for defiling his three years old daughter (name withheld) to death at their Lagos residence.
Amure, who is also accused of defiling several other toddlers, is said to have been on police wanted list of for allegedly defiling of many minors on Lagos Island, where he resided.
He was said to have committed the heinous crime a week ago but was transferred to the Gender Unit Police Command Ikeja from where the case would be taken to court.
According to reports although Amure was arrested on several occasions, he always got bailed despite the magnitude of his offence.
The victim, who was his first daughter, was said to have died of complications. This, however, has since put the mother of the victim in shock.
Reports had it that the mothers of the two children Amure abused opened up that the perpetrator had been arrested on several occasions for this same crime by the Adeniji Adele Family Support Unit.
Reacting to his transfer to Gender Unit, the Coordinator, Advocate for Children and Vulnerable Person Network, Mr. Ebenezer Omejalile, thanked the CP of Lagos, Hake Odumosu, for his swift response to the case and zero tolerance for child abuse.
“We sincerely appreciate the OC Gender for personally supervising the case by making sure that everything was well in place.
He further the assured the public that “A visit to the scene of crime have been carried out last week. Further investigation is currently on going”.
