Breaking: Churches, Mosques to Resume Services in Lagos

The Lagos State Government has, Thursday, said that religious centres like churches and mosque would resume services from June 19 this year.

The governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu made this announcement at a media briefing on Thursday at Ikeja.

While Muslim services are to resume on June 19, Christian worship begins on the June 21 this year.

The churches and Mosques are to reopen with a crowd capacity not more then 40%

Church and Mosques can hold more than one service, other regular services and vigils are to be put on hold

Despite the reopening, children below age 15 have been prohibited from attending services in both religious centres.

He added: “Religious gatherings are restricted to Fridays and Sundays only.”

According to the governor, by December this year, Lagos state would be opening the 43 metric tonne rice mill.
