Residents of Mangoro in Lagos State were thrown into panic on Thursday following the sudden collapse of a two-storey building in the area.
As of the time of filing this report, it remained unclear how many people may have been trapped beneath the rubble. Emergency responders have since been deployed to the site and are working to determine the extent of the incident.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), in collaboration with the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, is leading ongoing rescue operations at the scene.
