Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has assured residents of Africa’s most populated city that construction for the city’s biggest children’s hospital, would soon be delivered.
Sanwo-Olu said that the new Massey Street Children’s hospital, sited at Adeniji-Adele Road on the Island axis of the state, would be delivered before end of 2022.
He said this, yesterday, during an interview on Sunday Politics, anchored by Channels Television, which this publication monitored.
Recall that the Lagos State Commissioner for Health, recently explained that the construction of a new Children’s hospital is geared towards addressing the challenge of space and expansion being encountered at the site of the current Massey Street Children’s Hospital.
The Commissioner also disclosed that the site for the new Massey Street Children’s Hospital has also been earmarked for some other medical infrastructure projects which will help Lagos to develop high resilience to shocks.
Recall, also, that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu had revealed plans to commence the construction of a new Massey Street Children’s Hospital and some other health facility when he recently commissioned the Badagry Maternal and Child Centre earlier this year.
