• Inaugurates monitoring compliance team
As religious centres prepare to open on Friday August 7 and Sunday August 9 across the state, the Lagos State Government, on Thursday, released new protocols and guidelines numbering to be strictly adhered to during services in the first phase.
The Commissioner for Home Affairs, Prince Anofiu Elegushi, disclosed this after closed-door stakeholders meeting with both Muslim and Christian leaders at Alausa, Ikeja.
Meanwhile, a 43-man Monitoring and Compliance Committees charged with the responsibility of ensuring total compliance with the protocols and guidelines was inaugurated as well.
As mosques and churches prepare for Friday and Sunday service on the approved dates, the sitting capacity remains 50, hence the monitoring and compliance committee.
