• Police recovers car, valuables of kidnapped white lady
A-three-man syndicate notorious for kidnapping, armed robbery and snatching of vehicles across Lagos State have met their end after they were nabbed on Saturday August 8 at 1pm.
The suspects, who were nabbed by the Lagos State Police Command, are: Stanley Ugochukwu, 25; Ayodele Ismaila, 28; and Elochukwu Nwabuwa, 28.
They trio were arrested at Falomo Bridge Ikoyi by Anti-kidnapping operatives after kidnapping a white lady, Denise Chukwueke, their recent operation on Wednesday June 24 around 2pm.
The three suspects were said to have monitored Denise, around Lekki then abducted her successfully with her Range Rover sport car.
They dispossessed the victim, CP adds, of her valuables, then released her after ransom was paid.
“They took her gold chain, rings, phones and the Range Rover. They were arrested at Falomo and the stolen items were recovered. They confessed to the crime. All the suspects will be charged to court,” he said.
According to the State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, the syndicate would kidnap their targets, rob them of their valuables and demanded ransom from their relatives before letting them go.
The police boss said the gang’s major targets were luxury vehicles which they mostly moved to Benin Republic to sell.
