A TikToker, Nwakaego Okoye has been sentenced to three years imprisonment by a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos for social media bullying of a popular Nollywood actress, Eniola Badmus.

The judge also gave an option of N150, 000 fine in lieu of the sentence.
Earlier during the arraignment of the convict, the police prosecutor Nosa Uhumwangho, told the court that the convict and one Chimabia (now at large) conspired to commit the offence of cyberstalking.
He said the incident took place between December 2022 and July 2023.
According to the prosecutor, the offence committed contravened Sections 27 of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention etc) Act 2015.
Following the reading of the charge and Okoye’s plea of guilt, the prosecutor, Uhumwangho pleaded with the court to review the facts of the case.
