On the X (twitter) app, Alao Abiodun, @biodun_alao said, “The chief whip didn’t say anything substantial. He was only diplomatic with his response, perhaps for safe reasons.
“The Chief Whip who is also the Chairman Commissioners-Nominee Screening Committee was part of those who received the Lagos Muslim Community protesters who complained about the alleged marginalisation.”
Another netizen Aremu igbomina @toluwasevic said, “this does not have an excuse they just disqualified the man because of their own agenda and ambition.”
On his part, Danbabs @Excellentbabs posted, “Shame on you mojeed Fatai you cant even point reason for there disqualification. I know na you and Obasa planned this coup to satisfy your MURIC member. Very shameful thing.”
Also posting his opinion is Johnson @Jonehmk, “This Prof. Akin Abayomi should never be rejected cos he really tried during COVID-19 pandemic containment in Lagos and Nigeria. What has he done to the assembly members that made them rejected his renomination?”
Ajijo seun @Ajijo1 asked, “Are they sure it’s not because they are Christians? Hmm.”
