The Lagos State Infrastructure Assets Management Agency (LASIAMA) has commenced renovation and upgrading of public buildings across the state.
LASIAMA General Manager, Ms. Adenike Adekanbi, in a statement said the renovations are part of the government’s efforts to establish a system for regular maintenance and refurbishment of government infrastructural assets for better service delivery in all Ministries Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
She said the renovation and upgrading are being done in compliance to Standards and Guidelines Document for the maintenance and rehabilitation of government buildings developed by the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu administration.
Already, the agency has completed the renovation of the Agency for Mass Education and LASIAMA building while Blocks 3 and 4 in Alausa Secretariat which hosts the Ministries of Works and Infrastructure and Health respectively are ongoing.
A similar renovation and upgrading of outlook, according to Adekanbi, is ongoing at the building of Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) and Public Works Corporation.
“Alausa Secretariat is going through a revitalization all to the thanks of Mr. Governor,” Adekanbi said. “LASG buildings are the places where most of the interaction between citizens and the government takes place.
“We are committed to giving government buildings a better outlook in a sustainable and affordable way. This will also make the workplaces more conducive for government staff for better service delivery.”
Adekanbi noted that standard guidelines were met in the furnishing, plumbing and electrical fittings and landscaping works being done on the public buildings.
She stated that Alausa Secretariat will soon be completely revitalized through a better outlook that typifies the dignity, enterprise, vigour and economic stature of the Lagos State Government.
