The highly anticipated Heineken Lagos Fashion Week is set to return this October, running from October 23rd to 27th, 2024, with a fresh theme titled ‘COMMUNE.’ This year’s edition aims to celebrate Africa’s leading creative talents while showcasing a shared vision for the future of the continent’s fashion industry.
Over the span of five days, Lagos Fashion Week will spotlight the entire fashion value chain, emphasizing innovation, sustainability, and the preservation of African heritage. The event will serve as a platform for designers, artisans, and industry stakeholders to collaborate and drive meaningful change in the African fashion ecosystem.
The campaign for this season, shot at the historic John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture & History, reaffirms Lagos Fashion Week’s commitment to nurturing African craftsmanship and cultural preservation. This visually striking campaign is intended to inspire the next generation of creatives and highlight the role of fashion in sustaining the continent’s rich cultural legacy.
Central to this year’s showcase are the Green Access finalists — Dimeji Ilori, Garbe, Malité, Oya Abeó, and Revival— who will unveil their collections after months of mentorship focusing on responsible production and sustainable sourcing practices. Their participation underscores Lagos Fashion Week’s ongoing effort to champion environmentally conscious design and support emerging talent.
Lagos Fashion Week 2024 is made possible through the support of its lead sponsor, Heineken, and its partners, including Bioderma, Lush, TOMS, Prosper Africa, and Afrexim. For more information about the event, visit lagosfashionweek.ngor follow the official Instagram page @lagosfashionweekofficial.
