“We use this opportunity to appreciate your prayers; and to thank you all for your concerns and prayers,” PDP spokesman said.
Meanwhile, it was gathered that men of the Ogun State Police Command who subsequently, responded to the distress call, went after the kidnappers and engaged them in a fierce gun battle on their track.
“In the process, the captives numbering about seven were rescued while one of the captives sustained bullet wounds before she succumbed to death at the hospital where she was rushed for treatment.
“The deceased was immediately buried by her family members who were contacted.
“Arms and ammunition, snatched vehicles, among other items were also recovered from the encounter,” the source confirmed.
Also, PDP stated, “Aivoji is presently undergoing medical treatment and recuperating from the trauma. He is hale and hearty.”
