Operatives of the Lagos state police have rescued a 14-year old girl (name withheld), whose father, Moses Effiong, turned into a sex slave for two years in Ipaja area of the state.

The 39 years old Effiong, who is a commercial motorcyclist, is said to have been sexually abusing his daughter since she turned age 12 in 2018.

The distraught teenager told curious residents that she was oblivious of the whereabouts of her biological mother who eloped and left her behind with her father.

Sadly, despite taking in a new wife, Effiong could not resist sleeping with his little daughter whilst sleeping with his new wife.

Knowing that there were adults she could confide in, the 14 years old told her stepmother and grandmother. They, however, dissuaded her from letting it out.

The survivor was no longer down with the continuous abuse. She swiftly made the streets – Oluide Street, Post office area of Ipaja – her new home where she was found.

She was, however, rescued after she narrated her sordid ordeal to residents.

Following her confession, residents contacted the Ipaja Division led by the DPO, CSP Tokunbo Aboniwonda, who arrested Effiong before his transfer to Gender Unit, Ikeja for further investigation.
