The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) is set to investigate the actions of a female officer (name undisclosed) seen in a viral video assaulting a passenger in a taxi.
The agency, which condemned the act and described it as out of line regardless of the circumstances, happened at Aromire junction off Awolowo Way, Ikeja on Friday with onlookers and mediators.
The erring officer is expected to turn up at the LASTMA headquarters on Monday September 14 for investigation and disciplinary action.
According to LASTMA, “This video was forwarded to the management and the officer has been invited for investigation and disciplinary action for misrepresenting the agency.”
